haven't been liking the eyes i've been painting lately, so i thought a little practice was in order. boy am am i glad i did.
the eyes varied in time, but they were all somewhere between an hr or two each. slower than i'd like, but they were getting quicker. they weren't painted in the order seen here, but i can see a clear distinction between the first ones i did, and the last ones. that's what practice if for right? (i really wanted to go back and fix the older ones, but i thought i'd leave em to show some progress) so i think i'll be making a few more of these sheets for other stuff i'd like to level up i know i learned a ton
oh, and for those of you who actually read these descriptions, (thanks!) double bonus time! i made a video, and a progress tutorial thingy to explain the process of how i tackle these. hope they help!
(oh yeah, i left the resolution huge (although still at a third of what i painted em at) hoping it would help somehow to see all the fake little bits of detail i put in there. stippling is awesome! hit the ol 'download' button to see what i'm talking about. )
and here's a video: [link]
